The ABCD project is prearing to lunch the FoundersABC Deep tech start-up support program. It is a two-month long program that aims to strengthen innovation and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Western Balkans. The program focuses on scouting for, training, and preparing deep tech start-ups to get access to funding and the Pan-European innovation networks of the EIT KICs. The goal is to improve the maturity level of start-ups, prepare them for pre-seed investment, and open the doors to Europe through EIT KIC Accelerator programs. The program is looking for fresh, innovative, and unique solutions from deep tech and sustainability-related areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Advanced materials, blockchain, biotechnology, robotics, drones, photonics, quantum computing, etc.
Only startups from WB economies (Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*) that are legally registered business units established after 2015, can apply.
The applicant must be a private sector micro or small-sized company with at least two co-founders who are at least 18 years old.
Startups wishing to apply must submit their application files online on the provided LINK or via the
F6S platform or www.abcd-project-deeptech.org by 07/09/2023 at 11.59 PM CET. The Program Selection Committee will choose up to 10 applicants by 11/09/2023 to take part in the online program between 18/09/2023 and 24/11/2023.
The program will be implemented over a period of 10 weeks, covering 20 topics within 8 modules spread in 9 weeks, delivered by lecturers, industry experts, experienced entrepreneurs, and other ecosystem facilitators During the program startups will also have the opportunity to learn more about available funding opportunities for deep tech, available at European level, and work 1:1 with Mentors.
The last (10th week) is reserved for the Final pitching event to ABCD partners and investors, where the program participant will have the opportunity to showcase their progress and overall potential of their business opportunity.
